Preparation & Intention Setting

  • Dawn provides an overview of the process and helps participants set a personal intention for the session.
  • The setting is carefully curated with music, dim lighting, and a safe, supportive space to allow for deep inner exploration.

The Breathwork Process

  • Breathing Technique: Participants engage in continuous, deep, circular breathing, usually in through the nose and out the mouth. This hyper-oxygenates the body, altering consciousness and triggering emotional or visionary experiences.
  • Music & Soundscapes: Rhythmic, evocative music is played to guide the journey—starting with dynamic drumming or electronic beats, moving into emotional and heart-centered melodies, and closing with calming tones.
  • Supportive Bodywork During Breathwork: During an Integrative Breathwork session, participants may receive gentle, intuitive bodywork to help release physical tension and support the movement of emotional energy. This bodywork is always consensual, responsive, and trauma-informed. Types of supportive touch may include:
o Light Pressure or Grounding Touch on areas like the shoulder, hands, or feet.
o Gentle Acupressure or Holds to assist in emotional release or relaxation.
o Opening Gestures around the chest or abdomen to support breath expansion.
o Soothing Contact to anchor participants during intense experiences.
All touch is offered with respect, presence, and care – and participants are always empowered to accept or decline at any time.
  • Body Sensations: Many experience tingling, vibrations, or energetic releases as the body processes stored emotions or tension.
  • Emotional or Visionary Experiences: People often report:
o Intense Emotions: Deep grief, joy, anger, or bliss may surface.
o Spiritual Insights: Feelings of unity, past-life memories, or mystical visions.
o Psychological Processing: Re-experiencing past traumas in a way that leads to resolution and integration.

Integration & Closing

  • After breathing slows down, participants are encouraged to journal, share their experience, or express insights through drawing or discussion.
  • Gentle grounding techniques, such as meditation or soft music, help transition back to normal consciousness.

What to Expect Afterwards:

  • Many feel a sense of clarity, emotional release, and deep relaxation after a session.
  • Some may experience temporary fatigue, vivid dreams, or lingering emotions as part of the integration process.

Integration in Daily Life:

  • Be gentle with yourself. Your nervous system is still processing.
  • Stay hydrated and eat nourishing foods.
  • Limit screen time and social media for a few hours after.
  • Speak to a trusted friend, a counselor or therapist, and or journal daily if emotions continue to surface.
  • Schedule another breathwork session if you feel called for deeper exploration.
